another week gone by

Oops. I fell off the posting wagon. And bumped my head. And all my posting ideas fell out. And I can't get them back.
I don't know what to post about.
My kids? They are the same silly/insane/funny/sarcastic/frustrating beings that they were last week.
Me? I am the same silly/insane/funny/sarcastic/frustrated mom that I was last week.
Brian? He is the same workaholic/over worked/underpaid, wait he's self employed  hard working dad he was last week.

Boring, right?

Well hang on to your hats cause boring is the new blogging theme around here.

I have an idea:
This week I am going to post about boring things that happened last week.
I will post every day.

And that is my idea.

anatomy of a perfect rainy weekend.

Have your husband come home at a normal time from work. (And lately 7 is a normal time)
Eat dinner off paper plates so there are no dishes to wash.
Rent movies (and actually watch them).
Eat popcorn.
Spend Saturday listening to itunes and clean.
De-junk. (like get rid of half of the toys in the play room, de-junk)
Spend Sunday watching plays the kid's write and perform.
Have Nerf Gun wars.
Color.
Eat Grilled cheese and tomato soup that you didn't make.
Read, read, read.
Leave the camera on the shelf and just enjoy it all.

How was your weekend?

January

January is such a lame month. It's always a month that flies by in a flurry of nothingness. Not much gets done, and not much happens. 

We drank hot chocolate.

We encouraged our baby to be a mindless gaming human.

We made stuff.

We went to church.

We casted a lot of spells.

We did our best to impress the dad with our mad mario kart skills.

We made new alter egos: Peter Parker, Spiderman, and Harry Potter.

And we curled up on the couch in our warm house to do the things we never get around to doing:

Oh, and we made life altering decisions:

When I add that all up, I can honestly say it was a great January. 

But I can also still say, Bring on February! 

But mostly March. (hello spring!)
