I went shopping with a friend this week.
She needed toothpaste.
I hate buying toothpaste.
The toothpaste isle gives me anxiety.
One promises whiter teeth.
One promises fresh breath.
One promises tartar control.
One promises complete health.
I don't know what I want.
Do I want white teeth?
Good breath?
Tartar that is whipped into submission?
Or Do I want to run and not be weary? (isn't that what complete health is?)
What I want is toothpaste.
The crap you put on your toothbrush to clean your teeth.
Where is that?
I can never find it listed on the 50 different tubes.
So I get anxiety.
Am I the only one?

I couldnt stop laughing at this post, I completely agree! I feel the same way about deoderant, you just want to smell good and not be sweaty but after smelling three different scents your nose is worn out and I just end up grabing any random one!
what i get when i smell deodorant is a headache.
but on with the toothpaste...what gets me is i go looking for the same one i bought the last time only to realize that some smart aleck marketing guru thought he would be ever so clever and change the box and yes it is a HE.
i just know it.
i sent brady for toothpaste and he was so thrilled with himself. he got 4 for the price of 1 or some fancy deal. only he came home with PASTE.
not gel.
need i say more.
we are on tube 2.
ugh.
I agree! Why not just say - "For clean teeth"? I buy what is cheapest and it turns out to be different most of the time, so I figure we get a little of all the different "good" stuff at some point.
ps. I love your random posts!
i have never thought about that but... yes. i use gel too! :)
