I am back. with loads of laundry.I am not well rested.
I managed to avoid all the blood sucking mosquitos.
I have an increased knowledge of the Jonas Brothers, and of just who is playing who in the Twilight movie.
I am also pranked out.
I have also come to the conclusion that girls today were never given proper s'mores making instructions and that is a tragedy.I made lots of new inside jokes that will last the whole year... I wasn't asked once to do my cheerleader impression from last year, which I was happy to retire.
I am convinced, after what the girls said about me during testimony meeting, that the bishop thinks I am the biggest goof off ever and am awaiting my release.
Our surprise special guest, Mindy Gledhill, (our girls LOVE her music) was very sweet to the girls...AND is one of the naturally prettiest people I have ever seen in person.
Standing next to her in pictures made me quickly feel a lot like this:
And when I came home, I had three over excited children to greet me. One of which had made a change to her ears while I was gone.
I am catching my breath and and diving right back into my daily life; and it feels really good.

I cracked up at that gollum picture, but seriously. You are WAY too hard on yourself!! You are gorgeous!! Not even kidding, you are so naturally beautiful. You should see me without makeup, and tell me who you think looks like gollum!
I am friends with a couple of the Gledhill girls and let me just say they are ALL naturally gorgeous, but really sweet so I guess I don't hate them so much. Speaking of natural beauty, do I really need to tell you that you kind of take the cake on that one? You are a brave woman to do the camp thing! I guess I will probably get my turn one day.
By the way, I totally recommend buying fat clothes. It will feel like you've lost twenty pounds because your clothes fit so much better and everyone treats you like a rockstar because you don't look homeless anymore. Really it's a win win.
Cheerleader routine? I'd love it if you posted a video of that. Better yet, why don't you post a vid of the contortionist routine you do every morning? I'd pay you money.
It is very sad to me that a lot of girls don't know how to make excellent smore's!! It is something that is mandatory for all people to know. Seriously. It should be taught in schools.
I'm sure that your goofiness will only prolong your time in young women's. You'll have to find some other way to be released. Good luck with that.
Mel you are gorgeous! I don't know why you are so hard on yourself. I am sooo envious of your complexion! I must admit that I have those days where I feel like Gollum too.
I am also slightly jealous of your calling. I doubt you will be getting released, you are so great with those girls! Glad you survived the mosquitoes too!
Oh know! You can't compare yourself to that! I can't even look at it without cringing, eww! That's SO not what you look like. I'm glad you had fun at camp - I wish I was there to see what the girls saw, the crazy Mel!
